The Commission has helped to increase our understanding of the drivers of ocean degradation and enabled important analysis to be undertaken. Its work has has elevated concerns around the crisis facing our ocean to a new level. The solutions it proposes and the Mission Ocean initiative will play an important role in galvanising action from governments and decision makers.
